For our final assignment in this class we get to compile a set of photos ranging from bad, to good. I have out in photos from almost every assignment we had. I explained in the bottom text what made them bad and what made them good. I also explain in the bottom text what I learned and how this class has benefited me During the course of my class this trimester I have learned so much. I have learned the basics of photography and photoshop. I have learned to perfect a photo within photoshop using tools like lasso, paint brush, crop, ext. I know that once this class is over I will continue taking photos and using photoshop.
My most favorite assignment was the Compositon assignment. I liked being able to have a set of requirements and exploring the different areas of photoshop and things to photograph. Even though it was my first assignment it helped me learn a lot and a few really great pictures came out of that assignment. In this slideshow you will find a total of ten photos. Six of these pictures will be showcasing my best work and four will be showing my other ‘flops’. First I will start with the ‘flops’. The first photo in the set is a picture of some purple flowers within a bush of weeds. While this photo had potential it was almost ruined by digital noise. The second photo is again a really cool picture displaying color and texture. However instead a focussing where I was hoping, which was on the white berries, it is focussed on the pink branches. The third photo is a picture of some shoes that were thrown over a branch in a tree. While I wanted this picture to display the shoes it back fired and created a photo that is not particularly easy on the eyes. The last photo is one of my lizard being held by my mom. I liked this photo until I saw that it was taken over a countertop and the background was not anything of what I wanted, the lighting was also not something I was hoping for. Moving on to my favorite photos. The first one is a picture of a shiny blue Beatle on top of a vibrant purple flower. I like this picture because of the colors and I love how the Beatle looks. The second photo is a picture of a yellow flower. I love this flower because of the softness of the slower but the color is so cool. The third picture is of a group of geese floating on top of the calm water. I love how balanced this picture is. The fourth picture in the set is of my tortoise slowly moving through the grass. I love the way the photo makes him look and again it is well balanced. The fish picture is of my dog. This photo captures my dog perfectly and it display rule of thirds well. The final sixth photo is of me. We put a flash light in front of my eye to create that cool lighting effect. I spent a long time in photo shut painting and blurring the background.

Today we had to come up with a word that we could find pictures of to represent and also include a word discription of the chosen word. I learned that like with puns you can create a word through photoshop and images
This week we had to take three puns and display them visually I decided to use these three. Can you guess them? This week I learned that even without a camera in your hand you can still create some really funny images through photoshop
For this weeks photo assignment we had to choose another topic. I chose macro so I could get really close up to these awesome statues that were on my bookshelves. They all worked really well together I learned that certain objects that don't have anything in common can really look beautiful together
We again got a list of topics and I chose people this time. I used my friends Macie and Sam. I took some pictures with natural lighting from a window but almost all the photos are taken in a studio with a white backdrop and man made lighting I learned that some of the best photos are taken when your subject is distracted or laughing at something else
This week we got to use the studio and some new lighting to create a professional looking portrait photo I used my friends Macy and Sam as my models. Macy's photo was taken near a window so that the lighting would be good. Sam's was taken in the studio with articficial lighting. I learned that you need more than one light source to create a well lighted photo and when you have the correct equipment you can make natural lighting out of un natural light sources
For this week I wanted to capture the serious attitude of my cat and brother. They both put on very their "means bussiness" faces and let me take a bunch of pictures of them. I learned that sometimes you don't need color to express the meaning of certain things. I feel as if I captured exactly how my subjects felt even without color
This week we were told to find a photo shop tutorial that would challenge our minds and then create a replica I learned how to add my creativity into my photo shop work and how to challenge myself to try to make something that I would not normally do.
For this project we had to take an image and photoshop some other images into it. I chose to stick with a water theme with some different cool elements. This week we again had to pick a topic from our list. I chose still life and I thought that my fairy garden would be perfect for this topic. I wanted to capture how still it looks and how legend says they come to life at night. Hard to beilieve that when these pictures make the town seem almost ghost like. This week I learned how you can alter an image to make it look exactly how you want. personally I was going for a 'ghost town' vibe but you can make an image do what you want with lighting and photoshop skills
