For this assignment we have to take a series of pictures with our camera placed on a tripod. We had to take at least five pictures in a line and edit them in photoshop so they would look like one long continuous picture. This assignment taught me to use editing skills to expand my photos and better showcase landscapes

This week we had to pick a topic from a list of topics provided I learned that if you really look you can find beauty in everything
For this assignment we had to photoshop a car to perfection. This consisted of blacking out the background, darkening the image, tinting the windshield and blurring out some of the reflection on the car. I learned some valuable skills this week within the photoshop tool. I learned how to make the background exactly how I want it and also how to make an image more intense by brightening it up or sometimes darkening it.
For this assignment we were told to pick a topic from a list of topics. I chose animals since my house is full of them! I have a dog, a cat, a lizard, a tortoise and a fish. Almost all of them were represented in these photos. This was our first big Monday assignment and it was a lot of fun! I learned during this assignment that each subject is different and while you can try to make them do exactly what you want, it's so much better when you just wait for them to be them selves. You can always tell if a picture is staged or not. Personally I love to find the pictures that look like they were not so staged and were fun to take and be apart of.
These are some pictures of cats that are really inspiring me. We have an animal assignment coming up and I am going to try to use these as insperation For this assignment I wanted to show my brother having fun at our local park while also showcasing shutter speed techniques. The first picture really showed my brother frozen in time while the second one shows him in motion and the third one is in between I learned that if you wanted to capture motion without that blurryness you simply can adjust the shutter speed. If you want to showcase the motion blur you can adjust it some more. This will be really helpful when I need to capture motion
In this assignment we were told to take a picture of ourselves and then use Popart to make four panels and these fun colors. During this assignment I learned how to use Popart and also new editing tools that I can use in the future to edit different pictures.
These are the photos I took for my composition one project. I really learned a lot by exploring new ways to take pictures. These are my picks for each category. I actually included two pictures to represent space because there was no way I could choose! My favorite technique to use is space because it allows me to focus on one object and really capture the beauty of it. My name is Olivia McPherson and I am a 9th grader at Saline High school in Saline Michigan. Aside from photography my hobbies include singing and rowing. I recently joined the Crew team the year and I already love it! I took this class because I already had a love for taking pictures. I just never had the correct materials to actually take a truly amazing picture. But now that I have those materials I am very excited to learn new techniques and eventually take the perfect picture.
